LOTOXANE® is a highly refined solvent blend offering a combination of low odour excellent degreasing power and minimal residue on drying. Due to its high purity Lotoxane® provides a safer alternative to the most hazardous solvents used throughout Industry, it is not classified as flammable, and controlled evaporation reduces exposure in the workplace. Lotoxane® therefore provides one solution for use on even the most sensitive metals and plastics and in critical applications as well as for general oil and grease removal.
FEATURES
• Highly refined for minimal residue on drying.
• Low odour and controlled evaporation reduce exposure in the workplace.
• Contains no aromatic hydrocarbons and with a flash point of 62°C is not classified as flammable.
• Excellent compatibility with metals and most plastics.
• Tested and approved by aerospace and other critical manufacturers.
• Superb degreasing performance.
• Suitable for use in ultrasonic cleaning systems.
• Can be used in heated tanks at temperatures up to 40°C.
• Provides a versatile degreasing solution to meet all manufacturing, maintenance, inspection and surface preparation needs.
• Can reduce solvent consumption, reducing cost in use and aiding compliance with VOC limits.
APPLICATIONS
• Removal of oils, greases, machining fluids, hydraulic fluids, and hydrocarbon-based protective coatings in manufacturing processes.
• Ultrasonic cleaning.
• Pre cleaning prior to NDT testing or inspection.
• Final cleaning prior to welding, painting, bonding or coating.
• Degreasing of machinery, components and assemblies during maintenance and repair.
• Cleaning electrical and electronic equipment.
• De-watering following aqueous processing. Application of Lotoxane to wet surfaces will dispel unwanted water from components and electrical systems.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Lotoxane® may be applied to the surface by brush or spray, agitate stubborn deposits if required with a brush and wipe away residues with clean cloth.
The product may be left to air dry naturally.
Lotoxane® is also suitable for use in dip tank applications. Dip components in Lotoxane®, allow a short contact time, remove from the solution and allow to drain. Heavily soiled components may require agitation with a brush. To reduce losses from the tank it is advised that a close fitting lid is used when the tank is not in use. To further enhance performance and to reduce drying times Lotoxane® may also be heated up to 40°C, where tank design allows. For optimum performance in ultrasonic cleaning systems a frequency of 25 kHz is recommended. Due to the self-heating ability of such systems a temperature control should be installed on the machine to ensure operating temperature remains below 40°C.
Whilst components may be allowed to air dry naturally drying times can be reduced by wiping away excess material with a cloth or by employing forced air drying techniques.
